The Royal Choral Society returned to the Royal Albert Hall for its annual Christmas concert on 9 December after not being able to perform since the previous year’s Christmas concerts due to the pandemic. The concert had to be performed under Covid-19 regulations to an audience of just 800, but the programme was still full of seasonal treats; despite a difficult year, the audience were able to enjoy traditional festive favourites, audience carols, fanfare trumpeters with the mighty Royal Albert Hall organ, and the brilliant Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, all under the baton of Royal Choral Society Music Director Richard Cooke.
